Self Rule

Here is the lowdown on independence and self-rule: if our people have to be saved with cash, then we may be barking up the wrong tree. In other words, we are looking for independence and self-rule in the wrong places.

If you ask me, the thing that WILL make our people independent and self-ruling is a set of common IDEALS that the majority of our people believe in, and can work towards, building (or rebuilding) a COMmunity that respects and implements those IDEALS. This is something even a MasterCard cannot buy.

So we need to exercise our brain muscles (refine our ideals) more than our fingers on the calculator (counting pennies).

Question: someone might be asking, "What are IDEALS?" Very good question.

Self-realization, self-rule, self-awareness: all of these start with "Self".

When a majority cross-section of our people finally realize how we have been scammed, the next step is action to uncouple ourselves from the illegal occupation by forces and staff from Franco-Cameroun. But individuals only take action if and when they fully understand what is at stake, and what they gain from acting.

Many of our people still do not realize that it is in their self-interest (and to their profit) to uncouple our system from that of Franco-Cameroun. It will simplify government, and citizens will be more deeply involved in the day-to-day business of government. It will be a system vastly different from the current Franco-Camerounese system, which, if you ask me, is dictatorial, arrogant and irresponsible. What is worse for our people is that this system is run entirely in a foreign language, French, and there is nothing we can do about that.

There is something we can do: advocate for self-rule.

"Cameroons" refers to all the Cameroons in history: Kamerun, Northern British Cameroons, Southern British Cameroons, Cameroun. All these versions of the Cameroons have historical relevance. One must have a clear reason to avoid one's own history. Would you? You tell me.
