Self-Rulers don't wait for "leaders"

AMBA: "Leaders"? What happened to the "people"?
The real algebra is figuring out how to enable the "people" to lead: as in "how to lead yourself". That means each citizen can "practise leading" by conducting themselves as a leader.
As self-propelling entities, each human sits, stands, walks and talks by self-propulsion, unless that ability is disabled for one reason or another.
What's the point? Self-propelling entities can SELF-RULE, making the issue of "leaders" moot.

Reading level: Gr 8–10
Understand
- What does the author mean by "self-propelling entities"?
- How can each citizen "practise leading"?
- What list does the author suggest Africans make?
Grammar focus: reflexive pronouns. "How to lead yourself": -self/-selves pronouns (reflexive) refer back to the subject. Don't use them as plain subjects ("Myself went" is wrong).
Try it: Write three sentences using yourself, themselves and ourselves correctly.
Discuss: Do we need leaders, or can well-organized citizens lead themselves? Argue.
