Privacy
A plain summary of what the site keeps and who sees it. The formal notice for the textbook forms is the privacy notice. WANAKU LLC is responsible; contact kenn.wanaku@gmail.com.
What we keep, and who can see it
- Your account: your email address and password. Your password is stored securely by our login service; we can't read it.
- Your profile: your display name, and an optional bio and photo. The bio and photo are shown publicly only if you're a contest judge. Your email address is never shown publicly.
- Contest entries: judges see them without your name. The organisers can see who sent each entry, and can export entries for the contest.
- Messages on the Contact page: your name (optional), email, subject and message. Only the site's editors and admins read them.
- Textbook forms (updates sign-up and teacher-edition requests): see the privacy notice. The public can't see any of it.
- App beta list: your email, if you left it to hear about an Android beta.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
- The site has no advertising and no tracking or analytics tools. It uses cookies only to keep you logged in.
- The apps don't need accounts and keep your data on your device.
Where it's kept
Our database and logins are run by Supabase, the site is hosted by Vercel, and emails are sent by Resend. They handle the information on our behalf only.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can change your display name, bio and photo yourself on your profile. For anything else, including deleting your account, email kenn.wanaku@gmail.com from the address you used, and say what you'd like us to do.
Deleting an account also deletes your registrations and contest entries.
