Updates and unsubscribing

Signing up for textbook updates

If you teach with the textbook, or just want to hear about it, you can get occasional emails about it, such as new units. The sign-up is for educators and adults (16 and over).

1. On the textbook page, find Teaching with this book? Get updates and new units.
2. Enter your email and, if you like, your name. Choose what describes you (Teacher, School administrator, Parent, Other).
3. Tick the box to agree to receive emails, and send the form.

Signing up again with the same email just updates your details. You don't need an account.

Unsubscribing

1. Open any textbook email and press the unsubscribe link at the bottom.
2. On the page that opens, press Unsubscribe from textbook emails. Opening the link alone doesn't unsubscribe you, so that email security scanners can't do it by mistake.
3. You'll see “You're unsubscribed.” You won't get any more textbook emails.

No email to hand? Write to kenn.wanaku@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and ask to be removed.

Other emails from the site

Emails about things you did on the site are separate from the updates list, and unsubscribing doesn't stop them. These come from notifications@mail.ninehills.org:

• a copy of each contest entry you send or update;
• a receipt when you send a message on the Contact page, and updates on it;
• a note if you're chosen as a judge or given a new role.

Don't reply to them: that address doesn't receive mail. Use the Contact page instead. Account emails (confirming your email, resetting your password) are sent by our login service and may come from a different address.

If you left your email to hear when an Android app beta is ready, and want to be taken off that list, tell us through the Contact page.
